About the Event
“Discovering Safe Routes to School: Families Walking Together”
Date: Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Location: Woodbridge Township Elementary Schools
Goals of the Project:
- To raise community awareness of walking and biking
- To promote physical activity by providing safer and more pleasant walking and biking environments
- To help the community assess needs and set priorities to make our streets and sidewalks safer
- Making an effort to reduce carbon emissions and fossil fuel consumption by relying less on automobiles and buses
- To promote public participation and community pride.
